Areola Tattoos
Areola tattoos, or nipple and areola tattoos, are permanent tattoos used to recreate the appearance of a nipple and areola on the breast. They are often done after breast reconstruction, to help individuals regain confidence, this can be a healing part of your journey helping regain a sense of self.

Trained medical tattoo artists perform the following:
-Using a tattoo machine and skilled techniques to apply pigment to the skin.
-Using high quality needles to implant the pigment into the skin.
Areola tattoos typically take 1–3hrs per session depending on the condition of the skin, dry needling may need to be part of the procedure process if scars are too raised. Talk to your artist about this at your consultation. Most professionals recommend 1–3 sessions spaced 8 weeks apart. While discomfort is usually minimal, some people experience a mild sensation from the needles. Numbing is applied before and during the procedure.
After care is similar to that of a body art tattoo.
